The spiritual partner of the little egg vase in this collection: same tree, same blue resin, grown up into a bowl. The pour set into a blue eye surrounded by the maple's red inclusions, and together they read like a planetary landscape, some canyon on Mars photographed from orbit. It is, frankly, a sci-fi bowl. The rim, the shape, everything about it is futuristic to my eye, as if it were carved for the galley of a starship, and I mean that as the highest compliment a prairie maple can earn.
The door-knock maple again: logs on a St. Boniface front lawn, a knock, a bowl promised in trade, and a tree that keeps turning into new pieces years later. The pin marks the neighbourhood; the street is lost to memory.

One of one. When it is gone, it is gone. Ships worldwide, fully insured, from the Winnipeg workshop. Every piece carries its tree’s record: where it stood, its rings, and the carving on film. Leave your details and Sean replies personally, usually the same day.
